Planning for the HST in British Columbia

With the introduction of a harmonized sales tax in British Columbia and Ontario less than a year away, it is important that organizations plan for the implementation of this tax into their business processes. This new session is designed to assist accountants and businesses in planning for the transition to the HST in each of these provinces by:

  • outlining the basic concepts of each proposed HST;
  • explaining the current place of supply rules and how they may apply to each of these models;
  • highlighting transactions that will be impacted by these schemes;
  • discussing the obstacles organizations may face in preparing for implementation; and
  •  reviewing the possible transition rules that will be used to shift toward the application of HST and phase out the retail sales tax in each jurisdiction.

Important Note: 3 CPLD Credits

The event will take place in the President's Room at the Vancouver Club*
